1. VITAMIN A
Found In – eggs, fish oil, butter, liver etc.
Why – antioxidants / anti-inflammatory properties, supports tissue and mucous membranes

2. Beta-Carotene (I’ve never heard of it either)
Found In – bright colored fruits / veggies. Think carrots, kale and papaya etc.
Why – antioxidants / anti-inflammatory properties, promotes immunity

3. VITAMIN C
Found In – citrus fruits, red peppers etc.
Why – prevents colds, supports infection fighting cells, healthy skin, heals wounds

4. Vitamin E (I’m sure you’re noticing a trend here)
Found In – spinach, seeds, avocados, almonds, wheat germ, sunflower oil etc.
Why – supports cell functions, anti-inflammatory / antioxidants, boosts response to vaccines making it more effective

5. Vitamin D (basically every damn vitamin lol, take your damn vitamins!!)
Found In  fortified milk, eggs yolk, mushrooms, oily fish etc.
Why – protects from cancer, cardiovascular disease, dementia and the flu. Fights infection and inflammation

6. Vitamins B5, B6, and B12 (at this point I should be getting paid to promote some damn vitamins!! lol I promise I didn’t make this stuff up)
Found In – whole grains, nuts, seeds, animal foods like yogurt, beef, fermented foods like sauerkraut, tempeh etc.
Why – Get your antibodies working, fights infections

7. Zinc
Found In – veggies with roots, oysters, shellfish, seafood, almonds etc.
Why – fights infections and immune essential mineral – TOO MUCH ZINC can be bad so please limit your intake.

8. Iron
Found In – leafy greens, meats, molasses, raisins, lentils etc.
Why – transports oxygen to your cells – TOO MUCH IRON CAN CAUSE BACTERIAL GROWTH so be careful with this as well.

9. Selenium
Found In – brown rice, Brazilian nuts, yeast, wheat germ salmon etc.
Why – antioxidants – must limit intake of selenium

10. Magnesium
Found In – avocado, greens, almonds, brown rice soy/tofu etc.
Why – keeps strong immune system, anti-inflammatory, helps muscles and bones, helps brain function
