SensoGenic – Portable handheld food allergen detection device

Year after year, I’ve read numerous stories about people in the ER due to their food allergies. Unfortunately, some of these stories turn out tragic.

The statistics for fatal anaphylactic shock due to food allergies in America have risen tremendously, as allergies become increasingly common. Although researchers are attempting to formulate preventative measures, food allergies remain to be a common challenge.

SensoGenic is an Israeli science and technology company that’s developed a food allergen biosensor. This portable handheld digital sensor acts as an analyzer by accurately detecting the foods your allergic to.

The biosensor can detect – peanuts, wheat, soy, tree nuts, eggs, milk, fish, and shellfish so far.

Additionally, they’ve included a feature where you can discuss your experience and give recommendations for restaurants and/or events where you’ve had success (or failure) with the biosensor.

Although this is not available yet, you can sign up to be a beta user here – https://www.sensogenic.com/beta-tester/
