A good question to ask ourselves is – is pollution one of the leading factors in eczema?
I can’t remember where I read it, but studies have shown that living on a farm decreases your chances of asthma and eczema. I absolutely believe there is some truth to this, as the air quality is significantly better.
Yesterday I stumble across an interesting article about air pollution increasing the cause of eczema in Gurugram, India. For those not familiar, this is a Northern India.
Over the course of the past few years, Doctors in Gurugram has seen an uptick in eczema due to environmental factors as there is year-around pollution. Unfortunately, there’s only so much you can do about environmental pollution, besides moving to a new area. If we’re focusing on indoor pollution, be mindful of things inside the home such as: dust mites, curtains, rugs, hot baths, itchy clothing, and central heaters.
This was a very interesting read.
