MySkincareApp

MySkincareApp creator Baha Sagadiev, is an extremely passionate hacker and engineer who hails from Kazakhstan, although is currently located in Estonia. After receiving his engineering degree at Boston University, he was determined to make an impact in the world.

As a longtime acne sufferer, he faced severe breakouts around his chin and forehead. Perplexed by the cause of his outbreaks, he found solace researching reddit’s r/SkincareAddiction and r/AsianBeauty forums.

This changed his whole perspective on skincare and allowed him realize one of the best solutions to his problem, was tracking his diet. He soon learned that pasta, beers, and breads turned into public enemy number one. So he cut out pasta and breads…and only has the occasional beer.

Upon his discovery, he realized that not only is tracking your diet important, but so is tracking your skincare products. He wrote this down in an excel spreadsheet only to find this was too time consuming and a pain. He knew there was a better and more efficient way, thus MySkincareApp was born!

But how many times I wished there was an app like MySkincareApp. It would have helped me to track down those foods much easier and faster. Tracking in Excel was not fun. ~ Baha Sagadiev

His mission is to help fellow skincare addicts and sufferers track their skincare products and routines.

How it works:

  • Go to the App store
  • Search – My Skincare app (you may have to scroll for a little bit until you find the right logo)
  • download the app
  • Sign up – username, email & create a password

Once you sign up you’ll have access to a database of products.

Simply type in the product you’re using or interested in using. If the product is there, it will you be able to bookmark it and check favorite or allergic.

If the product is not there, you can simple create a new product and save it.

It also has an ingredients feature where you can what’s in the product, then check out the ratings the ingredients in that product. They range in multiple categories: good, average, poor, best etc..

I use the app myself and love being able to track my products. MySkincareApp is extremely user friendly and a helpful way to have your products and ingredients laid out in an organized way.

The only concern I had was the price point, which I spoke to Baha about. He’s still working on figuring that part out. Other than that, this is a great app to use if you want to track your skincare allergens, triggers or progress.
