L’Oreal Introduces My Skin Track pH by La Roche-Posay

In all my years of living with eczema, I never once thought about my pH balance affecting my skin. Little did I know, it has a lot to do with skin health.

Previously, tracking your pH balance hasn’t been easy unless you have access to a lab where they can run studies. L’Oreal wants to change that. My Skin Track pH by La Roche-Posay is their latest invention which won the CES 2019 Innovation Award.

My Skin Track pH is a flexible sensor with microfluidic channels. This allows for an easier way to measure your pH balance through a wearable sensor.

pH imbalance is connected to many skin conditions, like eczema, atopic dermatitis, and severe dryness. These conditions affect millions of people around the world today.

After teaming up with Epicore Biosystems (world leader in wearable tech), La Roche-Posay was able to collaborate and produce this novel idea.

Once worn, the sensor uses a tiny amount of sweat from your pores to determine your pH levels in under fifteen minutes. It’s so advanced that you can even see it in real time.

Additionally, they have an app called My Skin Track app. The app can be used to measure your pH level and educating you on what it means in regards to your skin health. It also helps customize products based on your stored information.

La Roche-Posay’s goal is to help you understand your skin, so that you can take better care of it.
