Kirsten Storms an actress on the longtime soap opera General Hospital leaves the show, because of her ongoing skin issues. I thought this was an interesting story because normally makeup artist can pretty much work their magic and cover up anything.
What I like about this story is that it highlights how severe skin issues are. Sadly it doesn’t get talked about or highlighted enough. There are many times where you just can’t function because of outbreaks. Many people don’t understand that it really takes a toll on your everyday life. It causes us to miss important events or even call in sick from work. In Kirsten’s case, she took a leave of absence.
