Okay, where was this product when I was a kid? Honestly, I would have enjoyed bathtime much more during childhood if it involved this much fun!
Zimpli Kids is a UK based company that designs and manufactures innovative children’s products. They’ve excelled in marketing having amassed 7 billion views (and counting) for their products online. If that’s not impressive I don’t know what is?
A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of testing one of their products labeled Gelli Baff.
I’ll admit I was a little bit nervous, but I was assured that Gelli Baff isn’t just for kids. This product can be used by adults dealing with sensitive skin as well. Gelli Baff consists of powders containing a special formula that turns into goo, slime, or snow. These products have been thoroughly tested to ensure 100% safety (according to their website (https://www.zimplikids.com/safety.html) and have multiple testing certifications:
- EN71: Ensure that the toy conforms to the essential safety requirements.
- TRA: Toxicological Risk Assessments
- CPSR: Cosmetic Product Safety Report
- REACH
- ASTM and CPSIA
Additionally, they’ve won numerous awards and pride themselves on sustainability and abiding by the Environmental Policy Statement.
Now, onto the review.
I started out opening the blue Gelli Baff powder which is stain-free, and non-toxic. It’s also labeled 1 at the top, making it easy to follow along in case you’re confused.
Then, I poured the packet into the bathtub and immediately felt a sense of calm wash over me, as the blue powder collided with the water creating a gooey turquoise aura.
Next, I hopped into the bathtub and tested it out. I took a picture of my hand, just to show the goo forming. I used a little less of the powder, as I wanted more of a massaging feel and less of the goo. But let me tell you – IT WAS SO SOOTHING, I kid you not. It felt very alleviating on my eczema. Especially because my skin is horrid this time of year.
You can see a few of the beads that formed into goo on my arm. I have to say, this product was simply heavenly.
The best part is the cleanup is simple simple simple. This was 100% my biggest concern. I don’t think I would have tried this product if there was heavy-duty cleaning because your girls got things to do!
After you’re done, Gelli Baff includes a solution to turn the goo back into liquid form. You simply pour the dissolving powder packet (this will be labeled) into the bath and stir it around the tub. Give it about 30 seconds to a minute and it will go back into a liquid form.
It will not clog the drain once back in liquid form, just make sure that it’s all dissolved, before opening the drain.
*One thing to note is that you might have a few gooey bits stuck on you, as I did. So please keep that in mind, that you may have to rinse off in the shower afterward as I had to!
Other than that, this product is wonderfully soothing for kids and adults alike.
