Once in a while, you come across a product that’s convenient, brilliantly executed, and solves a problem. After trying Feather & Bone Face Gem Face Wash Tablet, I can easily say this is one of my favorite products on the market.
When it comes to traveling light, “sample size” is not an option when you have a severe skin condition. After discovering these face gems, I’m pretty sure this might be my go-to for solving that issue. They are the perfect compliment to washing your face on the go. Not to mention, these gems are lightweight and don’t take nearly as much room as a full-sized bottle of face wash.
Not only am I thrilled about these face gems, but this product will be beneficial to people all around the world. This can be used in hospitals, the military, countries where water supply is low, and travel kits. Honestly, the possibilities are endless.
Feather & Bone is Founded by Shubhangini Prakash who’s dealt with sensitive skin ever since she was a young girl. At the age of twelve, she experienced a severe reaction to a facewash she was using at the time. After visiting the doctor and using the recommended prescription pills didn’t help she sought advice from her mom to use sandalwood. The sandalwood not only cleared her face but would later go on to be the key ingredient in her product.
During business school, Prakash knew she wanted to launch her own company but wasn’t sure of what to do. After a venture capitalist told her how important being the DNA of your own company was, Prakash had an idea. She took this advice to heart and it led her to create the personal care company Feather & Bone.
The name Feather & Bone is derived from being your core self, which is skin and bones. This was important to Prakash as she realized the products celebrities endorsed in the 90s and early 2000s weren’t always truthful. One can argue that this still applies today!
So what exactly is a face gem?
A face gem is one portion-sized tablet that turns into a face wash with just a few drops of water. This tablet doesn’t spoil, has no preservatives, and is safe for all skin types.
- Indian Sandalwood – clears your face while protecting pores and gives off a pleasant aroma for a youthful glow
- Fuller’s Earth (Indian Clay) – an exfoliant that removes dirt and smoothes for softer skin
- Corn Starch – For a nice fresh bright clean polish
What I love about this product is that it’s 100 natural, cruelty-free, vegan, and non-GMO.
The face gems come in a 10 tablet Jet-Setter Pack for $8.99 and a 60 tablet Monthly Pack for $30. As you can see it’s very affordable, especially considering its part of a natural skincare line, which tends to cost an astronomical amount.
Additionally, Feather & Bone won the Indie Beauty Expo Best In Show 2017 and has been featured in numerous publications such as Forbes, Well + Good, and Yahoo! Beauty.
This is a company to watch! I’m thrilled about future products.
