At one point in my life I considered going to school for dermatology. I soon realized that I couldn’t even stand in a checkout line without getting antsy, so going to med school wasn’t in the cards.
I do however really admire dermatologists. Not only do they fix skin conditions but most importantly they help people gain back their confidence. Having a tiny blemish or a serious skin condition really does a psychological number on you. So not only do they solve skin issues, but they give hope to those that want their lives to go back to normal.
A few days ago I wrote about Things The Dermatologist Will Not Tell You. This article however, gives you an inside look at what dermatologist had to go through before they got their start. It talks about how competitive the field is, to having friends and family wanting you to look at their skin, the pressures of having perfect skin and so on.
I found this highly informative and hopefully you do too. So take a look at the trials and tribulations in the world of dermatologists.
